  • Heineken "The Match" 90" - Marine Engineers at work!
We spent seven days at sea shooting this, the latest installment for Heineken's legend's campaign. Shooting on a cargo ship is no joke. I shared a toilet with 30 Turkish sailors, glamorous it was not. We had to meet the helicopters, scuba divers and camera boats at various coordinates in the Marmara sea. Rearranging freight containers each night for a new day's shoot the following morning, the production schedule took on the apprearance of a Rubik's Cube.

Shot over six days with Director Fredrik Bond and DOP Roman Vasyanov, this is an epic example of what can be achieved in-camera, with no locked off shots, just fluid camera movement and excellent casting, often including the crew from the ship itself.

  • Baltic Runner - time lapse of container ship operating in The Baltic Sea
This time lapse footage was made while I worked on a containership the MV Carat going around the Baltic Sea and North Europe. During the trip we went from Riga, Latvia to Tallinn, Estonia to Klaipeda, Lithuania, Gdynia, Poland, then to the other side of Europe through the Kiel Canal to Hamburg and Bremerhaven, Germany. This was a very fast paced environment, sometimes as little as eight hours sailing between ports and many berth shifts while loading and unloading cargo. Note the precise shiphandling while maneuvering the ship and without any assistance of the tug boats. Over 15,000 photos were used to put this video together, all summed up in five minutes. Enjoy!

All footage and sequences available in 4K.
